Wat shuld i do summaries on&wat shuld i do a picture book on:"summer of my german solider"and "elephant run"?

for my summmer reading books i have to read the book "Summer Of My German Solidier" by Bette Greene.....and then i have to read the book "elephant run" by Rolan Smith....my teacher gave us the option of writing a brief summary of each chapter on a sticky note for one of the books. and then for the other book we are to make a picture for each chapter with one or two sentences on the bottom. i dont know what book i should do each for has anyone read these books? can you help me figure out what one will be easier to write summaries and what one will be easier to draw pictures?...."elephant run" is 318 pages long and has 32 chapters and "summer of my german soldier" is 230 pages long and 21 chapters long i was wondering when should i start reading them? thanks so much for your help!
