Days fans, anyone else heard this rumor?

I read on one of the soap sites that because they brought back Taylor that they are also greaing up to bring back Eric, Sami's twin brother. only it won't be the original one, but some other acter revising the role. Has anyone else heard or read this? do you think it's true? i also read that they are doing casting calls for another girl and a hunky guy, so they are bringing several new people in, what i want to know is why are they going to go to the expense of bringing totally new characters on to the scene, none of them that they have brought in in the past several years has really been good, so why take a chance doing this, instead of bringing back 1 or 2 of the old favs like Jack or Austin, or if they are going to continue to work Kayla in to stories why not bring Steve back with her? not these people who have no depth are ties to the families already there.?
