They can do it because, in reality, there is no fire in the belly's of the British AT ALL. When the British people stood aside and did nothing when parliament gave their country away to an unaccountable and un elected super power, the EU, without giving them a referendum, it signalled complete obedience and servility to our traitor parliament. Parliament has become Britain's biggest and most formidable enemy, a traitor from within set on the destruction of the entire union. Set on breaking up the country and melting it into the dictatorship of the European union. The 21st century British have no balls. That is why Islam is confident and able to dictate its hate fuelled bile on our streets, that is why Government no longer listens to the electorate, that is why the country is in the state that it is in right now. No one should have the right to dictate to the British people, not even their own parliament. This used to be a democratic country.
