Why do most Elvis impersonators choose to imitate white caped Elvis instead of hunky, leather clad Elvis?

By the way, just to fend off any quick judgments, I'm asking for a formerly gelatinous friend, and "hunky" was her wording...not that there's anything wrong with that.
