Do you think that abortion should be safe and legal?

Why shouldn't abortion be available through public and/or taxpayer funds? The prime argument against abortion is due, primarily, to religious beleifs but the government is mandated 2B secular. Religious organizations still do not pay taxes how can they have any say in this matter? Isn't the founding of this country lay in "taxation w/o representation?"
