I have a viewsonic LCD tv. I took it out of the box, brand new, less than a month ago. Hooked it up. No prob. Have cable, and a dvd player connected to it. I was watching it last night, and everything was hunky dory. Now today, I go to turn it on, and the little blue light comes on. Then the little birdies show up. Then nothing. Nothing but vast blackness. The remote will not change channels, adjust volume, bring up the menu screen or the source screen, hell, it won't even turn off the tv. The controls on the side of the tv itself also do absolutely nothing. The power button on the tv won't turn it off. The only way it will turn off is to pull the plug out of it's sorry ***. If I leave it on for like ten minutes it has gray static, and shows the channel number. Then when I try to do anything it has a major delay. The viewsonic website is pointless and no help. The instruction manual says things like : "is it plugged in?" or "are there batteries in the remote?" Yes, I have used a tv before. Mainly, I am just bitching. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it legal to refuse to let students take the Regents as a punishment?

My private school has this rule that if you come late you have to stay for detention. When finals and regents come they say that you have to pay it all off at a rate of $4.00 an hour. This makes some people owe up to $200.00 if they had some kind of family tragedy or something and forgot to bring a note. Anyway, their rule says that if you don't sit all of your detention or pay it all off then you can't take the Regents. As far as I know this is illegal. If anybody can verify this by telling me where it says it in law that would be great. So, can a school refuse to let students take the Regents (or any other state mandated test) as a punishment?

Son's Father Lying to Judge making fake cases?

My Son's father is lying to the judge here in fairfax county va. I think he feels this is a win~lose thing instead of deciding the welfare and template in which our child will be raised by. Some background, he tried to breastfeed our infant son so I threw him out of our apt. He said he'd had therapy but since I didn't trust him I had him come see a therapists i'd been seeing for sleeplessness and depression. He admitted to the therapist what he'd done. Then I never left him alone again with our son I moved into my mom's house and filed for child support. To get me to drop the case, we went to a notary and got an agreement for support signed. He paid support for 2 mos. I refiled, he signed a second agreement claiming the first didn't outline visitation. The third agreement was made in front of our senior army sergeants. This one he didnt abide by for a month. I went through with child support so he responded by filing for custody/visitation. We were ordered to mediation. Mediation resulted in agreed I retain full phys custody and he had supervised visitation until our child was 5. He was 2 at the time. I warned the mediators he was a tricky liar. As soon as mediation was ending he said he'd like to postpone visitation for a year. Our agreement mandated he would make contact with me and he'd have to attend therapy for 6 months before visitation would resume. Since he hadn't been making timely payments, my commander was willing to contact his but he stopped calling and the rear detatchment made it clear that support want in the order. Meanwhile, our son is almost five and couldn't pick his father out of a lineup. Guess who pops up. While I thought we were working through our NCO's he went to court to file a show cause (he'd never consistently provided support). He's now over 5K behind but he's beem telling me he's still deployed. Instead he's lied to the judge saying HE CAN'T FIND ME. I have kept my addresses current with va but they filed a show cause anyway. Help.

When i look at he state of the middle east and all its chaos, I can't understand why the US gov and Americans support Israel so much. Now a lot of people say its because they are our only democratic ally in the region, but i want a deeper and meaningful explanation than this. Personally i feel it has to do with religion and Americans being uninformed. Take a look back at the history of that area, the formation of Israel has to do with Zionism and British Mandate in which basically the Palestinians had their land stripped from them. However Israel kills several fold more Palestinians than Palestine to Israel. A lot of the world won't recognize Palestine as a country because if their refusal to recognize Israel right to exist. However I sympathize with the Palestinians because of the history of that region and its land being taken away. As an example its almost but not completely similar to the Native Americans and other indigenous people having there land stolen because of European Colonial and Expansionism; Lol and we justify their retaliatory actions. How to select multiple text in InDesign?

I have an InDesign file that is all text. There are dates, titles, and summaries. In Word, you can highlight a word and then hold down control to highlight an additional, different word in another place. How do you do that in InDesign? I need to change all the summary fonts but can't just select all of it because that would highlight the dates and titles too, and doing it one-by-one is annoying.

I've been exercising for almost 2 weeks now and everythings been going hunky dory until this last friday when I started experiencing really painful chest pain. Right now I'm focusing on doing cardio and I jump rope for about 25 minutes. I've been gradually increasing the amount of time I exercise so that I don't force my body and become sore. Problem with my dads ipod?

So my dad is trying to have me help him with his iPod since I'm the one the house that has most experience with electronics in the family. BUT I don't understand what is wrong with his ipod. Here's what he is trying to do. He is trying to put his music from the device into my laptop. But when I connect the ipod with itunes it shows his ipod but doesn't show any of the music. It only shows Tabs that say Summary, music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, photos, and info. I can't find his music ANYWHERE. i really want to watch High Kick Through the Roof but then i found out that it was the sequel to Unstoppable High Kick, but the more i read the summaries of both series i found that they don't have anything in common. however, that is only what the summaries look like. i don't actually know cause i've never seen either series XD i didn't really like the summary of Unstoppable High Kick and i don't particularly want to watch it, but i tend to like to watch series in order if they pertain to one another. do these two series pertain and play off each other or can i skip Unstoppable High Kick and go straight to High Kick Through the Roof and be completely fine?

i feel the same way, when someone is in a relationship they shouldnt be talking/flirting with other people, even if they consider it "normal" or "Casual", I take it as cheating and as a total turn off. New exercises to add to my Workout plan?

Ok so atm I am doing the 200 Squats, 200 Sit ups and 100 Push ups challenges and am currently on week 4 just started. I think I'll start the push up sections again as I was doing too wide a base and it hasn't helped with the actual strength and size of my Chest , shoulder or arms. I also do weights 2 sets ( 15 chest-presses, 15 chest-flies, 15 front raises, 10 side raises- always find these hard, 15 rows, 15 hammer curls, 15 inside curls and 25 triceps lifts) all at 5kg I know that isn't a lot.
